Standing Together for Indiana

As a lifelong Hoosier, I know that Indiana is a great place to do business and raise a family. We are committed to less government intervention, friendly communities and strong families. I have spent my life standing up for ideas and issues that  matter to us and am not ready to stop now. I am running for State Senator to keep Indiana moving in the right direction.

I received both my undergraduate and master’s degree from Ball State University. In addition to being a college professor for eight years I helped co-found the Leadership-Grant County which was one of the first community based leadership series in Indiana. Now, I have the pleasure of being a frequent presenter on business
and labor topics at both Ball State University and Purdue University. I also served on the Board of Trustees at Vincennes University for 14 years.

Since 1987 I have served as the President and CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky. Throughout my career, I have stayed committed to educating Indiana's young people by directing the education of over 20,000 apprentices. I was honored when Governor Mike Pence asked me to serve as his advisor on the Indiana Career Council. In addition to other positions served, I am a board member of the Hamilton County Innovation Network and was a founding member of the Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety. As your next State Senator, I will stand up for all Hoosiers by supporting, protecting, and expanding the opportunity for education and job creation.

I am husband to Susan who I have been married to for 31 years. We are the proud parents of 4 and grandparents of 7. I am an active member of NorthView Church and believe that all life is a gift of God and has purpose. I believe in protecting the unborn and being a voice for children who have no voice.

In my free time, I enjoy golfing, attending my grandkids events, researching family history, reading, and watching sports.

Thank you for your support. God bless.
